### The Geometry of Resonance

In the book *Solar System Dynamics* by C.D. Murray and S.F. Dermott, chapter 8.2 discusses the geometry of resonance. On page 325 they illustrate the paths of a test particle in a rotating frame. These test particles are shown at the 2:1, 3:2, and 4:3 first-order interior resonances and the 3:1, 5:3, and 7:5 second-order interior resonances.

The following simulations recreate the paths shown in diagrams (a) and (b) on page 325.
