Venus transits

Haven't seen much here about the Venus transit today due to cloudy weather .
Hereby is an animation of the present transit and the two upcoming ones in 2117 and in 2125. I used the Picard integrator to do so .

This site gives a lot of interesting pictures and data .
http://astro.ukho.gov.uk/nao/transit/V_2117/index.html.
Transits seem to come in pairs with a spacing of 8 years between two members of one pair .  The last one was in 2004 .
