For some reason I can't modify the post higher than the last 2 .  
So please replace in mind the above simulation with the one herunder :  
animation shows the orbit of Proteus and Triton over a period of 9 neptunian years as can be seen from Earth .  
Each frame corresponds with 1 Neptunian year .  
Clearly visible is the dramatically changing inclination of Proteus.

I've remade one of the above animations with the correct Proteus mass.  
The animation shows a lesser influence on Tritons orbit .  
Viewpoint is Earth . The sim was run for 1 Neptunian year .
